About Us

     Like many dreamers, we started to think of our design work over a decade ago, while serving as educational administrators. Over a glass of wine, we began the process of creating All Things Beautiful Design, a way to share our love of beautiful things, expressed through interior & exterior designs, with an emphasis on natural materials. Our values and sense of place are reflected in our work. Even our name is a nod to Amy's mother's favorite song, All Things Bright and Beautiful.
     After creating memorable interiors and exteriors for friends and family, we now bring our creative energy to others. We love to design from start to finish, but also encourage client participation. Vacation homes and ADUs are one of our specialties. Part or all--we help you make All Things Beautiful in your life.

     I am a life long learner, so it was only a matter of time after leaving a career in educational leadership, that I would branch out into new endeavors; hence, All Things Beautiful Design! Surrounding myself with beautiful spaces is important to me: interior style, robust vegetable gardens, colorful flower beds, water features to attract birds, and serene outdoor "destinations" for relaxing.  All of these are ways to express design and a love of beauty. A long time interest in floral arranging led me to complete a series of floral design courses over a decade ago purely to promote my hobby. Now, I am thrilled to be able to share with others my love of creating all things beautiful...floral arrangements, events, and spaces.

About Amy

     I've always loved art and design, pursuing creative solutions in work and life.  After a career as a public educator, it's a joy to help others find beauty in their homes and events. My artistic background of painting and sewing connect color, shape, line, design and texture in clients' personal and professional spaces. Helping people love their place through function and design is rewarding. Clients say my calm demeanor eases them through decision making and visualizing their renovated home. As a serial re-modeler, refreshing a tired room or a total renovation is a welcome challenge and a rewarding process. I love helping clients integrate personal items into our design. From Grandma's pine trunk to global travel treasures, I enjoy helping you blend old and new to create beauty in all of your 'things'.
