Deschutes Log Cabin

STORY: Client fell in love with a much used 1963 log kit cabin. The logs were romantic, rich and warm. The cabin needed a complete overhaul on a tight budget. ATB stepped in to help. Post renovation, owners turned the property into a rental with rustic appeal.

SCOPE: Amy and Gilan selected all materials and décor; problem solving along the way. The owners wanted to retain as many cedar interior logs as possible, while renovating electrical, kitchen, bathrooms, and salvaging the original floors. Galvanized exposed conduit, industrial lighting, natural stone and granite materials, united modern function with the original charm. Furnishings included new, consigned, and antique finds.
