Lake Michigan Studio
Story: Our client requested we transform the back half of an unfinished garage into a studio apartment with Lake Michigan themes. She said, “Design the floor plan, select the materials, and furnish the space.” And so we did!
Scope: Working to maximize space and provide a full-service studio, we designed a small kitchenette with movable kitchen cart, including cutting board top and storage cupboards. A wrap-around stone wall with wood bar offers under counter seating for both dining and work. The sofa provides comfortable seating for watching the wall-mounted television or can be transformed into a twin sleeper when necessary. The queen bed is furnished with plush bedding and extra storage drawers underneath. Finally, we provided a walk-in tile shower, large vanity with stone counter, closet space, and complete in-studio laundry. The lake retreat features gray and white tile with accents of wood, navy, and pops of red. This vacation rental is perfect for a couple’s get away or longer-term single rental.
