Craftsman Remodel

BEFORE:

AFTER:

STORY: The goal…transform a lackluster 1960’s ranch into a two-story, custom Craftsman home. As lovers of the outdoors, the owners wanted to use local woods and feature natural beauty both inside and out.

SCOPE: The Arts & Crafts movement was perfect inspiration for this home. Pacific Northwest woods were featured for cabinetry, trim and flooring throughout. William Morris wallpaper sets off bedrooms and baths. Soapstone counters and a hammered copper sink blend the Craftsman aesthetic with the updated kitchen. The use of club chairs and a wall-mounted television in the living room provides flexibility to view the stone fireplace, gaze outdoors, or watch TV. As designers, we love to use natural products to reflect the setting of the home. The goal of bringing nature indoors was definitely accomplished within this home. We also recognize the efforts of Rich Farrington Architect and Crystal Remodeling.
