STORY: Client bought a tired Sunriver 'fixer' stuck in the white washed oak and brass of 1980. The property needed a complete overhaul, including significant construction renovation and all furnishings. Amy and Gilan collaborated with the contractor for materials selection for railings, flooring, fixtures, and finishes for a new bathroom, plus updates to all bathrooms and kitchen. The high tech clients sometime work from their vacation retreat, so a light filled office was on the wish-list. Post-renovation, owners turned the property into a turn key rental with high income yield.
SCOPE: Our team landed on 'mountain modern' as our theme. We selected durable bamboo flooring to hold up to renters, dogs, and kids. We selected all new bathroom flooring, counters, tile, lighting and decor; converting a small bedroom into a clean, spacious master bath - giving the home up and downstairs master suites. We redesigned the stair rails and selected all of the furniture and furnishings. To save on the budget, we kept the kitchen's original granite counters and refaced the doors and drawers. The furniture shifted to the iconic lines of mid century, but with a modern mountain twist, including the plaid antler signed artwork. Furnishings included new, a few kept pieces from the home's original inventory, consigned and custom treasures.
